To date, the Kent Rock Recycling Shed has earned itself nine certifications from the market - to strengthen the quality of its work and cement its position as the leading entity in the Royal Science & Technology Park’s Sustainable Development Goals Innovative Enterprise Challenge.
Alongside academic improvements & application - the Kent Rock Recycling Shed is making use of social media to identify opportunities for participation and engagement with the various communities [particularly those with an interest in waste management practices, circular economy and climate change]: The Kent Rock Recycling Shed has plans to travel to Dubai, United Arab Emirates - to join the Best Diplomats Conference; the Kent Rock Recycling Shed also has plans to travel to the UN City in Copenhagen, Denmark - to attend the “Sixth Global Conference on Strengthening Synergies between the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Unleashing Synergies Towards an Equitable, Climate-Resilient, and Sustainable Future, to be held on 27–28 May 2025”.
Calls for applications for funding, technical guidance and prizes continue to fuel the Kent Rock Recycling Shed’s daily operations [working around the clock to raise awareness about it’s solution to ESwatini Environment Authority’s Waste Management Innovation Challenge, Stellenbosch University’s Zero-Waste-to-Landfill Strategy, and the Royal Science & Technology Park’s Sustainable Development Goals Innovative Enterprise Challenge - and to continue the discussion with relevant stakeholders on the need to approve the use of public toilets revenue {air-pumps in gas stations and carbon credits} to cross-subsidize the business operations of Lilangeni Recyclables LTD {the collection, storage, and supply of barcoded items from waste material} to the value of E1.00 per unit of production]: In its latest round of applications for innovative solutions - the Kent Rock Recycling Shed has reached out to Ka-Boyce High School, Sifundzani High School and the ESwatini Environment Fund for a nomination to the UNESCO-Japan Prize on Education for Sustainable Development [the Kent Rock Recycling Shed has determined that the data associated with Lilangeni Recyclables’ LTD business operations {the collection, storage, and supply of barcoded items from waste material} can be used by students and learners to practice how to use the frameworks taught in their given modules of choice {for example, the demand & supply functions when determining the extent of the subsidy programme being proposed by the Kent Rock Recycling Shed}].
