There is a new restaurant and bar in town [Hemingway & the With Nail] -- and the Kent Rock Recycling Shed is due to source the bulk of its waste material from this business: cardboard, plastic bottles, glass bottles and cans --- the Kent Rock Recycling Shed has identified this source of stock as its cash cow!
Waste management also includes the disposal of assets -- the Kent Rock Recycling Shed is challenged with signing contractual agreements with local companies and other types of organizations to list their fixed assets on its online shop to diversify its sources of revenue and deliver on its innovative solution in response to ESwatini Environment Authority's Waste Management Innovation Challenge, Stellenbosch University's Zero-Waste-to-Landfill Strategy and the Royal Science & Technology Park's Sustainable Development Goals Innovative Enterprise Challenge.
The Kent Rock Recycling Shed has also been working around the clock to develop a strategic partnership with environmental clubs in high schools and tertiary institutions to raise awareness and adoption of its solution by young women and girls between 18-35 (the target group of ESwatini Environment Authority's Waste Management Innovation Challenge): The ESwatini Medical Christian University is the first tertiary institution to grant the Kent Rock Recycling Shed access to one of its extracurricular clubs [the Art Club] to engage in the business of collecting, storing and supplying the market with barcoded items from the University's waste material [during the first session, the Kent Rock Recycling Shed managed to discuss with the administration of the club to change its name from the 'EMCU Art Club' to the 'EMCU Art & Environmental Club' --- where the strategic partnership will revolve around delivering on the sustainable development goals, sourcing raw materials from the University's waste for the production of arts & crafts and generating income from access waste by supplying it to the local buy-back centers particularly run by the Municipal Council of Mbabane and the Siteki Town Council].
The Kent Rock Recycling Shed continues to deliver on its resolution to stay on the look-out for online learning opportunities, funding and technical support to enhance the quality of its work: the Kent Rock Recycling Shed's most recent certification was awarded by the European Union in the 2025 Rethink Waste Youth Challenge [the European Union had posted the call for applications on its Facebook page -- and the Kent Rock Recycling Shed successfully managed to cease the opportunity to participate].
